Update 4 November: From Monday 11 November, the right of way across the nature reserve will be closed for approximately three days whilst essential maintenance works resumes.
The closure is needed to replace a failing culvert system, the works will actively help to reduce upstream flood risk and will allow the RSPB to better manage the reserve and meet their objectives set out in the Country Stewardship Agreement by Natural England.
An alternative route will be available for those who need access.
Update 7 October: The right of way across the nature reserve is to remain open at this time. An updated timeline with information on subsequent closures will be shared in due course.
