Did you know one baby can go through around 6,000 disposable nappies before they’re potty trained? As well as being expensive for parents, it comes at a cost to the environment. It’s estimated around seven million nappies are disposed of in Dorset every year and are sent to landfill.
Using reusable nappies is cheaper, better for the environment and you can save even more with our reusable nappy scheme!
If your baby is 18 months or younger, you can now apply online to save £30 on reusable nappies. Older children with existing medical conditions might also be eligible.
To apply you’ll need to have:
- a copy of your baby’s birth certificate, or Mat B1 for unborn children
- a utility bill for proof of address
You can choose to claim through a voucher or refund scheme. To use the refund scheme, you’ll need a copy of an itemised receipt. Check the eligibility before you buy your nappies to make sure you can claim.
Hello, I’d like to apply for the cloth nappy incentive scheme, but due to covid the registration offices are closed still so I don’t have a birth certificate yet, and I didn’t have a MatB form during pregnancy as I don’t need it. Is there another form of proof of birth I can use? I have her newborn examination page from the red book? Thanks
