Our Highway Fixers will be on the A352 at Longburton from Monday 16 November until Tuesday 2 December – with no through-access along the route during weekdays, 9am to 4pm.
The signed diversion route takes drivers on to the same classification of road as the one closed, as required by Government guidelines. In this case, the A37 and A30 are the nearest alternative A roads in the area.
Works phasing
The first eight days of work will take place in Longburton village, starting at the northern end and working south. The road will be closed in sections and there will be no through-access for drivers.
The final four days of work will be south of the village, from the speed limit change, through Holnest down to Middlemarsh. There will be no through-access along the road.
The road is being closed in sections (Mon-Fri, 9am-4pm) through the village while we resurface it.
Any businesses in the area remaining open or offering a click-and-collect service during the current lockdown, can still be accessed. You may need to park your car and walk a short distance to complete your visit.
Additional works
During the road closure from 16 November to 20 November, when there will be less traffic on the A352 due to the closure, our highways structures team will have two-way lights at Dunns Bridge to clear silt from under the bridge.

Current restrictions mean that you should be avoiding travel unless it is necessary. #DoYourBit for Dorset.
An attached map of the A352 with dates for closure would have been useful
Will the A352 be open again on 2nd December please ?
Hi Teresa, yes it should be open today.
