“I am delighted to accept the permanent position of Executive Director – it is truly the best job in the world. I am very blessed to have such a fantastic team and look forward to delivering good services for the families of Dorset.”
Councillors, employees and colleagues from Dorset Police and local schools were part of the recruitment process. Cllr Andrew Parry, portfolio holder for children, education, skills and early help, said:
“We’re committed to making Dorset the best place for children and young people to grow up in. It is essential that we have a strong leader to help deliver our Children and Young People’s Plan and I’m delighted that Theresa applied for, and secured, the role permanently. Her kindness, passion and drive to improve the life chances of our most vulnerable children, young people and families shines through, and this has been evident throughout the year as we’ve responded to the pandemic. I look forward to continuing to work with her in the future.”
