The Great South West Tourism Partnership has received the award for Outstanding Contribution to Tourism at a virtual ceremony, held yesterday, 22 April.
The Great South West Tourism Partnership is made up of organisations from a range
of backgrounds including commercial, not for profit business, local authorities and business improvement districts. The group works together to build a stronger, more productive and valuable tourism and hospitality network for the south west region.
Visit Dorset, Dorset Council’s tourism team is a key part of this regional partnership and represents Dorset alongside BCP Council’s destination management team and the Dorset Tourism Association.
Over the last year Visit Dorset has worked with its regional partners to support Dorset’s tourism industry through each challenge that the pandemic has brought.
From sharing government updates, co-ordinating regional marketing campaigns and supporting all Dorset based tourism businesses as the sector reopens.
Visit Dorset continues to support businesses by identifying their needs for survival and growth, sharing the results for insight and lobbying for further financial support.
