Beaminster Library to reopen

From 26 July Beaminster Library will begin to reopen and welcome back customers. Customers will be able to browse books and items to borrow and access a range of services, including use of computers and printing. From Monday, the opening times will be:

  • Monday, 2.30pm to 6.30pm
  • Thursday, 9.30am to 12.30pm and 2.30pm to 5pm

From 7 August the library will also open on Saturdays, from 9.30am to 12.00 noon.

A number of COVID measures will remain in place at the library. Customers are encouraged to wear face coverings, sanitise hands on arrival and respect space for staff and other customers.

The changes come just in time for the popular Summer Reading Challenge, which children can sign up for at their local library. It’s hoped it will encourage more children to get involved and enjoy reading over the summer.

All Dorset Council Libraries have now resumed normal opening hours, although are not yet able to provide their full range of events and activities. Information about services, opening hours and how to sign up can be found on the Dorset Council website.
