Fun days, workshops, sports and youth club hang-outs are among free activities being offered to Dorset’s young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
Cllr Andrew Parry, Dorset Council Portfolio Holder for Children, Education, Skills and Early Help, said: “Thanks to Government COVID fund money, we are thrilled that our young people have the opportunity to enjoy exciting free activities and learn new skills this Christmas. We’re also grateful to the local organisations who are opening their hearts and doors to make this happen.”

Hi – are all of these limited to children that are eligible for free school meals? The one I have just tried says they are – and my son is therefore going to be very disappointed!
Hi there, the activities are free for all 16-25 year olds with SEND (not just those who qualify for free school meals). Please can you let us know which provider told you they were limited to children eligible for free school meals and we will contact them. Many thanks, Claire
Hi these all sound amazing, unfortunately we have no way to travel
