Want to win £1000? Respond to your household enquiry form online, by phone or text

We have sent household enquiry forms for the electoral register to all residential properties in Dorset. Look out for an envelope addressed ‘To the occupier’.

Look out for your form

Dorset Council has posted household enquiry forms to all residential properties in your area.

The form shows who is currently registered to vote at your address and asks you to check if those details are correct.

It is a legal requirement that you respond to the household enquiry form.

You can save time, and expense to Dorset taxpayers, by responding promptly soon after you receive it.

Respond online, by text or by phone to win £1000

We are offering a £1000 prize draw to encourage people to respond digitally by 12 August, rather than returning a paper form.

Responding online, by text or phone quick and easy for you.

It also saves Dorset Council time and money that can be spent providing essential services to residents.

We estimate that it costs us 20 pence per elector to process digital registrations.

Returned paper forms, on the other hand, cost approximately £2.50 per elector. More than ten times as much.

If you have your form and security codes to hand, go to www.householdresponse.com/dorset

“You could be a winner”

Matt Prosser, Chief Executive of Dorset Council said:

“Please keep an eye out for the household enquiry form coming through your letter box.

“We have to send this form every year to all households in Dorset.

“We need you to respond so that we know who is eligible to register to vote.

“By responding as quickly as possible via digital methods you will be helping us reduce the costs linked to gathering and processing this information.

“Respond online, by Freephone or by text by 12 August and you could be a winner.”

Terms and conditions apply.

The link to respond the the form online is http://www.householdresponse.com/dorset but to proceed you must have your security codes which are given on the form.

If for any reason you are finding it difficult to respond online, you can also respond by text message or by calling the freephone number given on the form.

    2. Hi, I’ve done the household enquiry form, also the survey to help improve the election system.
Do I have to do anything else? Or after finishing the online form I will run automatically to be a candidate to win the £1000?

      1. Hi Luciana

No need to do anything else. You will be automatically entered into the draw.

  4. 1st of August. Form received. URL followed. There is NO lin k to confirm registration, only make new registrations.
Either a bad web page or not ready in time. Waste of voters’ time.

  5. Just completed form online however for your information if you type the address into a seach engine you don’t go to site hence I think why you are getting the questions above.

I got into the correct site by directly using the link you provided above on this page

    1. Thanks Stuart, have included the link directly onto the page.

Didn’t want to do this until we could be sure the forms had landed – in the past it has prompted keen beans to try to respond before they have their codes.
