Is your child due to start Secondary or Upper school in September 2021? You need to apply by 31 October 2020 for the best chance of getting a place at their preferred school.
Finding the right school place for your child is an important concern for any parent/carer. The admissions pages on the website give you with all the information you need in order to apply for a school place.

Cllr Andrew Parry, Dorset Council Portfolio Holder for Children, Education and Early Help is encouraging parents to apply now:
“Any parent wanting their child to be offered a place at a preferred secondary or upper school should apply by the 31 October deadline.
“Applications received after this date cannot be considered until the late round in February, so please don’t risk disappointment by leaving it too late.”
Children born between 1 September 2016 and 31 August 2017 can apply to start school in September 2021. Parents and Carers need to apply by 15 January.
Parents whose child is due to move to junior or middle school in September 2021 must also apply by 15 January 2021.
