Custom House Quay highway works start

A section of Custom House Quay in Weymouth will be closed from Monday (4 October) with no through access for vehicles.

Drainage and final surfacing works are getting underway following on from the track removal earlier this year.

From Monday:

  • Custom House Quay will be closed between St Mary Street and Maiden Street
  • there will be no access from Maiden Street onto Custom House Quay
  • there will be no access into St Mary Street from Custom House Quay (we will open this as soon as work clears the area)

A diversion route will be signed around the closure, with Maiden Street one-way suspended (at the southern end) to allow drivers out of Custom House Quay.

During the works, F Zone permit holders may use the Pavilion Car Park if no spaces are available on the street.

Arrangements have been made to provide access for deliveries to the closed area.
