We will do our best to keep you updated if our schedule of work changes.

Road maintenance

Using a variety of surface treatments ensures that more of Dorset Council’s roads get repaired with the budget available, compared to using resurfacing alone.

Please use our online form to report highway-related issues/damage. This goes directly to the local community highways officer for assessment.

You can use our online map to view all planned roadworks across the Dorset Council area.

  1. Little england / Homefield. Milborne st Andrew .. Well done the resurfacing team. All on time excellent result Thank you

  2. Hurstbourne Avenue in Highcliffe is in a poor state of repair and appears to have been missed during the recent road repairs in the local area. Has the road repairs necessary been forgotten or deliberately stopped ?

  3. Yet again, where is the road closure showing for next week in North Allington Bridport.
Sorry Dorset doesn’t cease when you go west from Dorchester.

    1. Hi Jon, the aim of the Dorset Road Fix articles is to inform people of resurfacing being undertaken by Dorset Council across our area. The North Allington closure is to enable Wessex Water to carry out repairs to a collapsed sewer, so this type of road closure would be publicised by the relevant organisation, such as Wessex Water, in a number of ways such as information boards in the area and a letter to local residents directly affected by the works. Details of forthcoming road closures can also be found on our roadworks and road closures page – https://www.dorsetcouncil.gov.uk/travel/travel-dorset/roadworks-road-closures Claire

  4. The hedge lining the road on the corner of Sandy Lane where it joins Hesketh Close is so high the cars approaching Hesketh Close on Sandy Lane cannot be seen. Residents are waiting for a serious accident to happen any day soon.
    Please help
