Don’t miss out, act now to shape the future of housing in Dorset.

With one week left until the online version of The Housing Strategy Consultation closes to the public, Dorset residents, businesses, and organisations are being urged to have their say.

By telling us what’s important to them, they will help influence the council’s approach to housing over the next five years.

Thousands of people have already completed the survey and given their views on the proposals and objectives.

The online survey will close just before midnight on Monday 2 October. The deadline for paper copies is 6 October, when the work will start on analysing the responses.

For paper copies please call 01305 221000 to request one, or pick up and return a copy to one of our libraries or customer access points (CPA’s) in Wareham, Wimborne, Dorchester, Weymouth, Blandford and Bridport.

Lead member for Housing Councillor Graham Carr-Jones said.

“I would like to thank everyone who’s taken part so far, but we would like to hear from more people before the consultation comes to an end. I have been really encouraged by the breadth of responses, we know there are a variety of view and experiences, and we are keen to capture as many of these as possible.

I would not want anyone to lose out, there’s still a week to go to have your say. Help us to Home In On Housing to set our priorities over the next five years and plan how we respond to housing issues in Dorset. ‘’

The strategy includes both new and existing housing and dovetails with our local plan.

Please visit our website to take part in the consultation. There are also short videos about residents’ experiences as part of our Voices of Dorset.
