Dorset Past and Present 2021
Dorset Council’s Historic Environment Team invites you to join them for an introduction to recent work and new developments in Dorset’s heritage, with speakers:
- 6.30pm Archaeological evaluation at North Quay, Weymouth – Richard McConnell, Context One Archaeological Services
- 7.00pm The new archaeology gallery at Dorset Museum – Clare Randall, Dorset Museum
- 7.30pm The role of Natural England’s Historic Environment Advisor – Elaine Willett, Historic Environment Principal Advisor, Landscape and Heritage Team, Natural England
- 8.00pm Iron Age swords, including that from Hod Hill – Catherine Jones, School of Arts, Languages and Cultures, University of Manchester and Department of Britain, Europe and Prehistory, The British Museum
Presentations will last around 20 minutes, with questions at the end of each presentation.
