Join Gordon Le Pard at the Isle of Purbeck Viewpoint, on Grange Hill, Steeple to discover how people looked at the past, in past centuries.

First there will be an opportunity to try out reconstructions of different types of Camera Obscura and other optical devices used by early tourists, then a walk along the ridgeway to Grange Arch, an eighteenth-century folly designed to enhance the view.

Some gentle walking. Sensible clothing and footwear are recommended.

This tour is free to attend but if you enjoy your walk, please give a donation to the walk leader on the day.

Booking is required as numbers are limited. The group sizes will be kept small to ensure everyone feels comfortable. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
