This walk is now fully booked. Please get in touch if you would like to go on our waiting list.

This conspicuous hill south of Wareham is known for its unique geology, but its archaeology has been neglected. Join Ben Buxton of Wareham Museum on this walk and find out about recent discoveries about sites and features ranging from the Bronze Age to World War Two.

This walk will take just under two hours. It is short in distance but it is very steep in places so suitable footwear is advisable and walking poles could be useful.

This walk is free to attend but if you enjoy your walk please give a donation to the walk leader on the day.

Booking is required as parking at the meeting point is very limited. Please car share if possible. Ben will arrive in good time to direct people to parking places and ensure efficient parking. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Meet at the layby on the highest point on the minor road between East Creech and Grange Road BH20 5AP, grid reference SY 922 822 and What3Words = ///disposing.quench.handle

The junction with Grange Road is opposite the entrance to Creech Grange.  (There are no road signs here or at the East Creech end).
