This event is fully booked but is being repeated on Sunday 26 May.
Today Studland is known for its three miles of sandy beaches and importance as a National Nature Reserve. Comparing the archaeology with maps and plans from WWII we’ll be looking at at what the landscape tells us about two Canadian and Allied Forces Exercises that took place here in 1943, Vidi and Pirate. Led by Pam White of the National Trust.
This walk is about 2 miles long and is expected to last around 2 hours. We’ll be walking along the beach and clambering over some uneven ground and slopes. Sturdy footwear please.
This walk is free to attend but if you enjoy your walk, please give a donation to the walk leader on the day.
Booking is required as numbers are limited. The group sizes will be kept small to ensure everyone feels comfortable. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
