Learn about archaeological finds with Gordon Le Pard who will be talking about the small items – fobs, seals, cases, buttons etc – that might be found in an 18th or 19th-century gentleman’s pocket, at an event at County Hall in Dorchester (Committee Room1) organized by Dorset County Council’s Historic Environment team.
The event starts at 10.30am, with tea and coffee available from 10am. There may be an opportunity to handle finds afterwards, and the event will finish by 12.30 at the latest. You are welcome to bring your finds along for expert comment, but please be ready to allow other participants to look at them.
The event is free but booking is requested to help with catering.
Wheelchair access is possible and there is a hearing loop.
Parking. The staff car parks around the sides and back of County Hall can be used free of charge. Please note that the car park at the front of County Hall is pay and display.
