A seminar to discuss changes to Treasure Act (1996) guidance coming in to force later this year. The event will start with a short introduction, followed by an informal question and answer session with Ciorstaidh Hayward Trevarthen, Finds Liaison Officer, Portable Antiquities Scheme and Claire Pinder, Senior Archaeologist, Dorset Council.
The event starts at 10am and we expect it to finish by 12 noon at the latest. It is aimed at metal detectorists and anyone from a local museum who gets involved in the Treasure reporting process as part of their role.
The event is free to attend but booking is required because numbers are limited, and to help with refreshments.
Venue: Lecture Room, Dorset History Centre, Bridport Road, Dorchester DT1 1RP, grid reference SY 6868 9063 and What3words = hindering.perfume.beards
