Dorset Council delighted to announce the sale of Blandford Forum site for much-needed local affordable housing

On 29 March, Dorset Council completed the sale of the former North Dorset District Council  Nordon site to Aster Communities Ltd. Detailed planning permission has already been granted and development is imminent. The development will be a mix of social rent and shared ownership homes, consisting of one-bedroom maisonettes alongside two, three and four bedroom-houses.

Bowleaze Cove changed to non-motorised vessel zone, online payments for permits launched

From 1 April 2021, the slipway area at Bowleaze Cove in Weymouth will be changed to a non-motorised vessel zone. This means PWC (Personal Water Craft) users wishing to launch will be directed to the nearest slipway in Weymouth Harbour, Commercial Road.
