{"id":1205,"date":"2020-02-17T16:06:58","date_gmt":"2020-02-17T16:06:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/news.dorsetcouncil.gov.uk\/dcr-staff-area\/?p=1205"},"modified":"2020-07-17T10:56:38","modified_gmt":"2020-07-17T10:56:38","slug":"mandatory-training-an-overview","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/news.dorsetcouncil.gov.uk\/dcr-staff-area\/2020\/02\/17\/mandatory-training-an-overview\/","title":{"rendered":"Mandatory Training &#8211; An Overview"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>DCR is continually updating and adding training modules for users.<\/p>\n<p>Currently there are nine modules:-<\/p>\n<p>Information Sharing and Security (<strong>mandatory<\/strong>)<\/p>\n<p>Introduction<\/p>\n<p>Navigation<\/p>\n<p>Radiology, Pathology and Referrals<\/p>\n<p>Allergies<\/p>\n<p>Discharge Medications<\/p>\n<p>Collaborative Worklists<\/p>\n<p>Maternity Pathway \u2013 Midwives<\/p>\n<p>Maternity Pathway \u2013 Admin<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>ONLY THE INFORMATION SHARING AND SECURITY MODULE IS MANDATORY.\u00a0 <\/strong>This is <u>not<\/u> a Data Protection (DP) and Information Governance (IG) module, although it does touch on both but only as a reminder to your organisation&#8217;s DP and IG training.<\/p>\n<p>Accessing the DCR allows personal data from all the DCR partners to be viewed by users. The purpose of this mandatory module is:-<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To understand the legal responsibilities of viewing records on DCR<\/li>\n<li>To understand user responsibility to protect information particularly as the personal data is from different organisations<\/li>\n<li>To understand how to record an information sharing discussion \u2013 mandatory training is one of the stipulations from the Information Commissioners Officer which enabled DCR to move away from a consent model<\/li>\n<li>To understand the opt out process<\/li>\n<li>To understand the security measures in place to protect personal data in the DCR<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Access to the DCR is given on successful completion of the mandatory training assessment.<\/p>\n<p>The training is on-line for the most part but facilitated e learning can be arranged from time to time to enable staff to move away from their workplace to undertake the training.<\/p>\n<p>It is difficult to give an exact time for the duration of the training as everyone is different but on average it takes approximately 45 minutes to complete the mandatory module.<\/p>\n<p>When a training module is updated the DCR staff website is updated and an email is sent out to all existing users to enable them to update their training where necessary.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Ends<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>DCR is continually updating and adding training modules for users.
