Last summer we became co-signatories of the Local Digital Declaration. This was great timing for us as it aligned with our digital aspirations, work we were already doing, and has enabled digital to be at the heart of the new Dorset Council that is being formed on 1st April 2019.
We have produced a short clip to provide some examples of how we are demonstrating our commitment to the declaration and delivering real digital change in Dorset.
Over the coming weeks we will be providing more detailed cases studies. We have previously published blogs that talked about:
- How we completed an organisation digital maturity assessment
- Facilitating workforce digital champions to move from traditional learning models to one that focuses on skills
- Replacing our website
- Establishing a digital network across public sector organisations in Dorset to encourage knowledge sharing and collaboration
Other work we will be sharing includes:
- Using new technologies to help people live independently
- Working with communities to develop the digital skills of residents
- Using new approaches such as user centred design to improve services, and much more!
At the end of the month we will be taking part in the first ever ‘Services’ Week being run by the Government Digital Service, sharing some of our work to deliver end to end user focused services. We will be talking about it on twitter #servicesweek #digitaldorset
