Services Week – Day 2

Today we ran our mobile innovation space in Wareham, responding to feedback we had during learning at work week to do more in other parts of the county.

The idea of the space is to get people thinking about the art of the possible, and how we could use the latest technology when designing services.

People were really enthusiastic. The virtual reality being used to help bring new property designs to life was a hit, with the same technology being used by TRICURO to look at how it can enhance people’s care and support.

 Virtual Reality in Action!

The use of ‘bots’ on our intranet was welcomed, making it much quicker and easier to access information, and the augmented reality continued to be popular with people enjoying seeing drawings leap off the page.

Voice assistance is growing and becoming familiar in people’s personal Iives.
Having the opportunity to have a go at work and see what else it can do when connected up to other devices was eye opening, including the potential for it to support people living independently.

What was great is people were learning from each other, there were lots of questions and seeing the technology sparked new ideas of how we could use it. #digitaldorset #servicesweek
