The Festival of the Future is back, and we need your help!
We want new ideas and experiences for this year’s Festival of the Future because lots of different people really make creativity shine. We’d like to hear your thoughts at sessions we are holding online on:
5 May 3-4pm or
11 May 2-3pm
You don’t need to plan, you simply need to register your interest and turn up for an hour on the day!
Digital Dorset regularly invites local businesses, staff and public to events to discuss the future of Dorset – but 2020 was different. It was a challenging year with people adapting to new home/work environments and an uncertain future. People needed something that would lift their spirits, so we ran an event which was both informative and fun, to celebrate, showcase and inspire Dorset.
The Festival of the Future was an ambitious idea born out of Covid-19 and achieved in under five weeks last year.
Our 64 sessions ranged from campfire storying telling and rise and shine yoga to robotics in care and how the digital Dorset Care Record can save lives.
This year we plan to make it even bigger. We will be travelling around Dorset showcasing and experiencing what a smart place looks like and exploring Dorset’s digital future. We will run a full week of hybrid events across Dorset, showing off our beautiful county through sessions which are available both physically and virtually. As always, we will be breaking new ground: a full-fledged hybrid experience is a new concept. And we will have the same fabulous array of speakers and topics that we introduced you to last year.
In short, it’ll be the same fantastic festival that was so successful last year, but ‘on tour’.
If you want to be part of our exciting journey, then sign up now for one of our ideas sessions!
