Digital skills and culture 15 June 2pm
Lisa Trickey & Penny Syddall
Dorset Council has digital at its heart and leads a strong network of entrepreneurs, academics, community leaders and residents who learn from and inspire each other. It leads the way in digital skills, 5G, service design, digital leadership and so on … but that wasn’t the case ten years ago. Back in 2011, evidence that Dorset people needed better broadband was hard to find – most had never heard of superfast. But the case was made, Superfast Dorset was launched and we started letting people know what was coming their way. Find out how Digital Dorset was born and the journey we have been on to build excitement and awareness in a county better known for dinosaurs than digital. Digital Dorset founders Lisa Trickey and Penny Syddall chat about how the network started and what helped them develop the buzz. Sign up
