Whether it&#8217;s on your computer, tablet or smartphone, at any time that suits you.<br \/>\nAnd if you don\u2019t have your own device, you can log on at your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dorsetforyou.com\/386745\">local library<\/a>, where staff will be on hand to offer help.<\/p>\n<p>More web-based interactions will help councils keep their costs down, and free up more money for front line services.<\/p>\n<p>We recently spent time talking to local people about why and how they access council services. To determine\u00a0whether there are any reasons they do or don&#8217;t go online. The results were very interesting.<\/p>\n<h3>\u201cI am online at home, but I\u2019m used to calling the council and don\u2019t know which services are online.\u201d<\/h3>\n<p>You can access most services online including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/forms.dorsetforyou.com\/default.aspx\/RenderForm\/?F.Name=qVLpRXca4fL&amp;HideAll\">Missed bins<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dorsetforyou.com\/travel-dorset\/roads-and-driving\/parking\/parking-fines\">Parking fines<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dorsetforyou.com\/school-admissions\/apply-for-a-school-place\">School places<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dorsetforyou.com\/article\/369262\/Apply-for-or-renew-a-Blue-Badge\">Disabled parking badges<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dorsetforyou.com\/council-tax\/payments\">Council Tax<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dorsetforyou.com\/apply-for-housing\">Housing<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>\u201cI\u2019d be more likely to report and pay for things online if you made it clearer that it was a cheaper way of contacting the council.\u201d<\/h3>\n<p>Each online report saves the council more than \u00a32, compared with the cost of a phone call. Over the past year, around 60,000 (40%) of our 140,000 forms and reports were completed online, saving almost \u00a3150,000.
