Dorset History Centre Needs You!

Due to the changing world in 2020, Dorset History Centre took the decision to increase the volume and frequency of our blog content so as our readers have something interesting to read on a regular basis. We currently produce two blogs a week, on a variety of content highlighting the work we are still doing, the collections we hold, and highlights from our records.

As we head into 2021, we would like to offer you the opportunity to contribute to this blog! You may be an individual researcher who has previously consulted records held at DHC, you may be part of a local community history group, you may be undertaking academic study into an element of Dorset’s history. Whatever your angle, we are interested in hearing from you!

We hope that as we progress through this year and in the longer-term, this blog can become not just a tool for sharing all the things we are doing, but also can become a place for sharing Dorset-based research and developments in our local communities.

If you are interested in contributing a piece to the blog, please get in touch with us by email (archives@dorsetcouncil.gov.uk) with your ideas and someone will get back in touch with you in due course about your proposal.

From all of us at Dorset History Centre, we hope that you enjoy the content we publish on this blog, and we look forward to bringing you more snapshots of things from our collections!
