Battalion paraded at 3 pm & marched to POINT 63 and relieved Seaforth Highlanders.
28th November – NIEPPE
“A” & “B” Coys [companies] did Route March at 10.30 am. “C” & “D” at 1.30 pm. Heavy rain at night.
27th November: POINT 63
Quiet day. Platoon drill in morning. Relieved at 5 p.m. by Seaforth Highldrs & moved to billets at BRASSERIE D’ESPERANCE- NIEPPE.
26th November: TRENCHES – ST YVES
Quiet in front of us. Heavy firing on our left. Little shelling. Relieved by R DUBLIN FUS at 7 pm & Battalion returned to billets at PT 63.
25th November: TRENCHES – ST YVES
Shelling active near “A” Coy [company]. Our Artillery shelled German trenches very accurately opposite “D” Coy. 8 Casualties, all sniped.
24th November: TRENCHES – ST YVES
Snipers incessant on both sides. Very little shelling. 3 wounded.
23rd November: TRENCHES – ST YVES
Cold fine day. Snipers active on both sides. Very little shelling. 2 killed 2 wounded.
22nd November: POINT 63
Quiet day. Battalion relieved R DUBLIN FUS. in trenches at St Yves between 5-30 & 8.30 pm. Quiet night. No casualties.
21st November: Trenches – ARMENTIERES.
Battalion marched off 2.30 pm to POINT 63 near PLOEGSTEERT & took over Reserve billets from Seaforth Highldrs.”A” & “D” at COURT DREVE Farm. “B” & “C”at Pigeries.[sic] “C” Coy [company] in trench at night covering road to MESSINES. Quiet night. Frosty.
