Quiet day. Battalion moved to Billets in evening to LA CRECHE. Showery all day.

20th December: TRENCHES – ST YVES
Fair amount of sniping but enemy rather quiet. 2 killed. Relieved at night & marched to billets at PT 63.
19th December: TRENCHES – ST YVES
11th Brigade attacked German trenches on our right in the afternoon. We kept up a continuous Machine Gun & rifle fire. Our artillery fired plenteous ammunition. 11th Brigade gained a little ground but suffered rather heavily. We had a few casualties from our own shell fire.
18th December: TRENCHES – ST YVES
Quiet day throughout. Very little sniping. 1 killed 1 wounded. Germans continue to fire flare lights all night.
17th December: TRENCHES – ST YVES
Snipers active. Little shelling. Germans fired a few Grenades. 2 killed 3 wounded.
16th December: PT 63
Fine. Quiet day. Relieved R.DUB. FUS [Royal Dublin Fusiliers] at night in trenches.. Germans sending up flares all night.
15th December: LA CRECHE
Heavy showers throughout the day. Battalion marched to PT 63 and relieved Seaforth Highlanders.
14th December: LA CRECHE
Fine day. Battalion rests.
13th December: PT 63
Quiet day. Relieved at night by Seaforths & marched to billets at LA CRECHE.
12th December: TRENCHES – ST YVES
Fine morning. Our artillery dropped a few shells on our own trenches. Quiet day. Relieved at night & went to billets at PT 63.
