10th December: TRENCHES – ST YVES
Fine morning. Heavy rain in afternoon. Condition as bad as possible. Started 2 Saps towards German lines. 3 killed & 10 wounded.
9th December: TRENCHES – ST YVES
Rain in morning. A little shelling & sniping. Worked continually on trenches, but still indescribable. 2 killed 3 wounded.
8th December: POINT 63
Fine morning. 1 Officer & 50 men Working Party in morning. Relieved R.DUB.FUS. [Royal Dublin Fusiliers] at night. Trenches awful. Rain all night. Tried to drain trenches but found it useless.
7th December: NIEPPE
Heavy rain all day. Relieved Seaforths at PT 63 in evening. Working Party found at night.
6th December: NIEPPE
Cleaning up & resting. Wet afternoon & night.
5th December: POINT 63
Heavy rain in morning. Relieved at night by 2nd Seaforth Highlanders & march to BRASSERIE- NIEPPE.
4th December: TRENCHES – ST YVES
Some shelling in morning. Relieved at night by R DUB. FUS [Royal Dublin Fusiliers] & went to PT63. 2 casualties. Very wet night.
3rd December: TRENCHES – ST YVES
H.Q. shelled in morning with “Whizz Bangs”. Snipers less active. Quiet day. One section under Captain Freeman paraded in NIEPPE to meet the King, 1 killed 2 wounded.
2nd December: TRENCHES – ST YVES
Fine day. Snipers active. Very little shelling. 4 wounded. Captain Rothwell arrived.
