Quiet night. Fog during morning. 4 “Little Willies” into H.Q. trench. No casualties.

Snow & sleet all day. Relieved 2nd R. DUB FUS [Royal Dublin Fusiliers] in trenches at ST YVES. One Coy [company] 10th Canadian Infantry attached to Battalion for instruction. 2nd Lieut Crowley joined.

Wet miserable day. Some snow.
23rd February: LA CRECHE
Battalion bath at PONT NIEPPE.
22nd February: LA CRECHE
Battalion rests. Fine day.
21st February: TRENCHES – ST YVES
Very quiet day, no shelling. Relieved by 2nd R DUB FUS [Royal Dublin Fusiliers] in evening. Germans opened M.Gun [machine gun] fire on relief, no casualties. Battalion marched to LA CRECHE.
20th February: TRENCHES – ST YVES
Slight thunderstorm during the day. Very little shelling. No casualties.
19th February: TRENCHES – ST YVES
Slight shelling of BOREEN. Very quiet day. 1 wounded.
