Glorious weather. Coys [companies] training. Battalion played Seaforths [Seaforth Highlanders] in afternoon at football & won 4-0.

14th April: BAILLEUL

Coys [companies] did 4 hours training. Fine & warm. Battalion marched off at 4pm to OULTERSTEENE & went into billets.

12th April: LA CRECHE

Battalion marched off at 10.30am to BAILLEUL & went into billets I RUE DE MOULINS. At 11.50 p.m. Zeppellin [sic] flew over town dropped 15 Bombs. One fell in RUE DE MOULINS, demolished 2 houses. 2 women & 1 baby killed.
