Relieved by Somerset Light Infantry at 11.45 pm. Heavy rain during relief & trenches in horrid condition which made it difficult to get out. Last Coy left at 3.15 am. Coys marched independently to Bullets via ELVERDINGHE at A 16 central (POPERINGHE- WOESTEN ROAD). 1man wounded.

9th June- BOESINGHE
Very little shelling. Heavy rain set in about 6 pm. Major G. M. Blomfield killed by Sniper. 1 man wounded
8th June – Trenches Nr. BOESINGHE
A good deal of shelling mostly on “A” Coys trench. Much work needed on trenches Lieut A.C.Hoare & Lieut H.Stevens joined. 3 men killed 12 wounded.
7th June: VLAMERTINGHE
Officers of Battalion proceeded to Trenches occupied by French Troops on left of YPRES SALIENT. Battalion marches off at 6.30 pm for Canal & took over from the French. Relief complete 10.30 am. B C & D Coys [companies] front line “A” Coy in Support. Continue reading
6th June: VLAMERTINGHE
Battalion rests. Coys bath at Brewery in VLAMERTINGHE. Capt. C.W.C.Wasey & Lieut G.H.Bowman joined Battalion.
5th June: IRISH FARM
Trenches shelled rather heavily from 3 pm onwards. Quiet day otherwise. Battalion relieved at 11 pm by 3rd Royal Fusiliers & battalion marched to CHATEAU at VLAMERTINGHE arriving there 3 am & bivouacked. Continue reading

Quiet day. A good deal of sniping during the night. Trenches improved. Officers of Royal Fusiliers came to look round trenches. 1 killed & 5 wounded today.
3rd June: IRISH FARM
Quiet day, a little shelling towards dusk. Took over forward post in FORWARD COTTAGE from Seaforths.
Work carried on the support line. 4 men killed, 4 wounded.
2nd June: IRISH FARM
Quiet day on our front, a good deal of shelling towards POTIDJE. Fine day.

Quiet day, very little shelling. Aeroplanes very active. Worked on support line trenches at night. Listening patrols sent out. Lieut I.K.Hamilton killed by a stray bullet. Very hot day. 4 men wounded.
