A good deal of German Shelling during the morning. Germans fired Trench Mortar Bombs between 3 & 4 pm. A wire was received from Lieut. General T.D.O. Snow with greetings to the 4^th Division this the first anniversary of battle of LE CATEAU. Relieved at 9.30 pm. By 1^st Kings Own Lancaster Regt. New section of line, front now includes left Coy of 2^nd Seaforth Highlanders, taken over by Kings Own. Battalion marched to FORCEVILLE arriving 12.30 am. Billeted in houses & barns, a dirty village.
