10th August
Parades under Coy Officers.
9th August- LEAVILLERS
Fine day. Men rest & clean up.
8th August- TRENCHES
Quiet night & day. Relieved by 2nd R. Dublin Fusiliers at 9.30 pm.
Relief completed 11.30 pm. Germans fired a few shells during relief. Fine. After relief Battalion marched to LEAVILLERS arriving 3 am.. Billeted in Barns.
7th August- TRENCHES
Very quiet night & day. Stormy. Work on Trenches continued. Major General Wilson came round trenches about 10 am.
6th August- TRENCHES
More rain. Officers of 2nd R.Dublin Fus came to look over our trenches in morning. Enemy’s Field Guns more active than usual. Quiet night.
5th August- TRENCHES
Fine & warm. Trenches began to dry up a bit, a lot of work required on them. Our 6” Howitzers registered during the morning.
4th August- TRENCHES
Fine but trenches still very bad. German Field Guns fired more than usual.
3rd August- TRENCHES
Heavy storms all day. Trenches in bad state. A few shells on our trenches during the day without damage.
2nd August- TRENCHES
Quiet night & day. A few shells on our Support line during the day.
Heavy rain in evening. Trenches in bad state.
