Quiet night & day, more German snipers than usual, very little shelling on both sides. Fine day. 1 man wounded.

Very quiet day except for a few trench mortars about 10 am. 2^nd Lieut Cooper died of wounds.

Relieved 1^st Kings Own in trenches at 8.30 pm. Quiet relief & night. 2^nd Lieut S.G.Cooper seriously wounded in head by a trench mortar bomb. Heavy gunfire North of us all night.

Battalion 3went for Route march at 2 pm. & was to be inspectecd by the Army Commander but he did not turn up, & Battalion was inspected by Brig. General Hull. Continue reading →
