Marched off at 4.45 pm & relieved 1^st King’s Own Regt. in trenches. Relief complete 9 pm. Trenches very muddy. Fine but cold. 1 Coy of 9^th Inniskilling Fusiliers attached to Battalion for 4 days instruction.”A” ,”C” & “D” Coys in front line. “B” Coy Reserve. A great deal of work required on trenches which have been knocked about badly with shelling.
