Quiet day. 3 heavy bombs fell behind bB Coy without damage. Battalion relieved at 7 pm. by 10th R. Irish Rifles. Relief completed by 8 pm. and Battalion marched to billets at ACHEUX. Fine.

19th Nov. TRENCHES
Worked hard on trenches. Foggy day, little activity. Our Heavy Guns fired in the afternoon with good effect. Officers of 10th R.Irish Rifle visited trenches in afternoon.
18th Nov. TRENCHES
Germans more active than usual. 4 mortar Bombs were dropped near the CATTACOMB [sic]- a few casualties. Our 4.2s shelled the FAN REDOUBT with good effect. All men working hard but front line & MONK TRENCH in a bad condition. A hard frost, fine day.
17th Nov. TRENCHES
Fine & frosty. Work on trenches still in progress. Party of R. Irish Fus came to help, but not much headway made. MONK TRENCH impassable. More sniping than usual. Artillery quiet.
16th Nov. TRENCHES
Another heavy fall of snow in morning with a frost. Everyone at work fighting the weather. Difficult to make any headway owing to mud being so thick. Officers of 10th R. Irish Rifles visited trenches with a view to taking over. Very quiet day. Enemy fired a few H.E.Field Gun Shells. Some storms of rain during the day.
15th Nov. TRENCHES-SUCRERIE- MAILLY- MAILLET
Started to snow hard at 4 am. Trenches in an awful state, a large portion of front line fallen in. Quiet day, very little sniping. Germans as busy on trenches as we were. Fine day & very cold.
14th Nov. VARENNES
Church Parade at 11 am. Battalion marched to Trenches at 4.40pm. & relieved 2nd Monmouthshire Regt.. Trenches bad & relief took a long time. 1 Coy of R.. Irish Rifles (36th Ulster Division) on right. Continue reading

Working Party as for yesterday. Coys bath at Acheux. Wet day.
12th Nov
Working Party of 250 men on 3rd Line. Wet day, party returned. Bus took a party of Officers & N.C.O.s to DOULLENS.

Route march 8.40 am.via HARPONVILLE, TOUTENCOURT, LEALVILLERS. Rained hard in afternoon.
