Fine cold day. The Bgde carry out a Tactical Scheme on the Mailly ranges. GOC Div & GOC XVII Corps watch operations.

We play 2nd Sea [Seaforth Highlanders] in afternoon & draw 0-0 after extra time.

Fine day but very cold. I have Bttn again as on previous day, then take NCOs

We play D of W [Duke of Wellingtons] in the afternoon & win 2-0, very good game.

Fine day but cold, I have Bttn again for ½ hr, then they go to training. I take class again.

Lt Col Karslake GSOI 4th Div gives a lecture in the evening, very good.

Dull day. Bttn parade 8.30 am on square of Cau Bks. I have them at drill for 10 minutes. Coys afterwards do training.
