Trenches shelled rather heavily from 3 pm onwards. Quiet day otherwise. Battalion relieved at 11 pm by 3rd Royal Fusiliers & battalion marched to CHATEAU at VLAMERTINGHE arriving there 3 am & bivouacked. Major G.N.B.Forster and draft of 80 men joined from base. Casualties 1 man killed 17 wounded.
