Officers of Battalion proceeded to Trenches occupied by French Troops on left of YPRES SALIENT. Battalion marches off at 6.30 pm for Canal & took over from the French. Relief complete 10.30 am. B C & D Coys [companies] front line “A” Coy in Support. Trenches in bad order & no wire, two gaps. A good deal of shelling during relief. 1 man wounded.
