Men get clean. Inspection by O.C. Coys.
Get a billet with Madame Lecubin. 5Frs per week.
2 Feb. COLINCAMPS.
Battalion relieved by KINGS OWN, who took over our line of trenches. Battalion proceed to MONDICOURT by march route. Start 9am. Route – Courcelles, Bus – Authie – Pas & arrive MONDICOURT 12.30pm.
1 Feb. Trenches – SUCRERIE – MAILLY – MAILLET
Dark night. Quiet day. Relieved by R. IRISH FUS. At 9pm. Battalion marched to COLINCAMPS.
31 Jan. Trenches – SUCRERIE – MAILLY
Bright sunny day. Enemy shelled front line. Also a good many rifle grenades fired at us. No damage. Trenches greatly improved by Boards etc. Corporal Cusack killed between 8 & 9 trench.
30 Jan. Trenches – SUCRERIE – MAILLY
German Artillery quiet. Our guns very active on front line. Bright day after foggy morning.
29 Jan. FORCEVILLE
Battalion relieved R.I. FUS. in trenches. Quiet relief. Dark night. Snipers very active. Trenches greatly improved.
