24th March: TRENCHES –WULVERGHEM
Very quiet day. No shelling or sniping. 1 wounded.
23rd March: TRENCHES –WULVERGHEM
“A” Coy [company] trenches shelled during morning. Snipers very active. During night patrol sent in to “No man’s land” but did not come in contact with enemy. 1 killed 4 wounded.
22nd March: TRENCHES –WULVERGHEM.
Sniping rather active all day. No shelling. Coy [Company] of Seaforths relieved our D Coy in right trench- D Coy relieved Argyles in reserve. 1 killed 1 wounded. We now how[?house or have] trenches facing MESSINES.
21st March: POINT 63.
Battalion relieved D.C.L. [Duke of Cornwall Light Infantry] and MANCHESTER REGT in trenches at WULVERGHEM in evening. 1 Coy [Company] 7 Argyle & Suth [Sutherland] Highldrs in reserve at LA PLUS DOUVE FARM. 1 killed 2 wounded.
20th March: POINT 63.
C.O. & Coy [Company] Commanders walked round trenches near WULVERGHEM in the evening.
19th March: POINT 63
A & C did work under R.E. B & C left Pigeries and went into PETIT MONIQUE and HUNTING LODGE.
18th March: POINT 63
B & D Coys found working parties under R.E. [Royal Engineers] 2nd Lieut Cockburn joined.
17th March: ARMENTIERES
Battalion marched off in the afternoon to POINT 63, and at PONT NIEPPE Lieut General Sir Horace Smith-Dorrien watched Brigade march past

Battalion rests & cleans up. 2nd Lieut Ricard & 30 men arrived.
