Fine day, much air activity, we see a Jerry plane under escort in the morning. I stay in all day rather disappointed as I want to go to Bttn HQrs. Fine night.

Fine day, I do my washing, I go to Achiecourt in the afternoon & buy vegetables for the Bttn [Battalion]. Some rain at night but not too much. See one of our planes hit by one of our shells in flight, poor devils, down like lead.

Dull day some rain in the morning, but not much. I visit Bttn [Battalion] in the afternoon & am asked to take over RSM again. Consider it & say yes. Fine night.

Fine day. Bit of hustle. Bttn [Battalion] comes out of the line into support, rather a good shack for them. Fine night & cold.

Fine day, no church pdes [parades] so we have very little to do.

Fine day. Baby boy born early in the morning. Mam & boy do well. Fritz drops some bombs round us & does a lot of damage to houses.
