Fine day Bttn carry out scheme of advance Gd [Guard] from Allouagne to Busnettes. Lecture in afternoon by OC 81^st Wing R.A.F. on cooperation of aeroplanes. Concert at night very successful.

Lovely day. X111 Corps Horse Show & Sports take place at FERFAY, about 150 men go to see them from the Bttn [Battalion]. Sgnt Shepherd, Ptes Clifford & Hack take part representing the Div in the relay race etc.

Fine hot day. Church service held at 11.0 am. Coys [companies] bathe in the afternoon.

Fine day. Rest & clean up. Get orders at 12.30 pm to line the Lillers-Bomecques road for the King. Bttn returns about 4.30pm.

Fine day but cloudy, we get good news again from the South, plenty of prisoners etc. Bttn [Battalion] relieved in line by 1^st R Bgde [1^st Rifle Brigade]

Fine day. Our concert party progresses very well. Dull at night. Fritz shells all round fairly heavy.

Fine day. QrM [Quartermaster] returns from leave 2 days absent, nothing said.

Showery morning. I see Maj Brindley 10^th Bttn & have a chat. Aircraft very active at night.

Fine morning, slight showers later. We run off the trials in the afternoon for the Corps show & do very well. Col Marriott to Hospt [Hospital] at night.
