Beautiful day, like summer. We go up on the Verne, very nice walk & we have a nice time. Dance at night in the Jubilee Hall 8-1. We enjoy it very well & get home about 11.30pm. R

I have a sleep for a couple of hours get up on deck about 4.0am & watch the boat enter the Solent. Very slow getting in & berth about 8.15am. Walk to SHampton West & catch the train at 9.36am arrive Weymouth about 12.30pm Mama meets me & we get home about 1.30pm. Have a nice time & clean up. R.R.
Dec 3 EN ROUTE
Leave Arras Stn about 3.20am very cold sharp frost. Have a nice comfortable trip to Havre arriving about 4.10pm. March from Stn to Boat & embark about 5.20pm. Very crowded on board but warm. Boat leaves Havre about 11.30pm & we have a very nice voyage indeed.

Fine morning cold. Plunkett gets boots done for me. Take over billets in Schramm Bks. Bttn relieved at night. I leave for furlo

Fine but dull. Fritz shells again but not very much. BOWLER comes up at night & we have a nice quiet evening. Truce ends at 7.0pm.
Nov 30 RONVILLE
Fine morning but rather dull. Lot of troops on the move. Fritz shells again & drops one in Schramm Bks. One side armistice from 7.0 am until tomorrow. Our side no shooting etc.

Fine but dull. Adjt comes down to go on Brigade. Fritz shells again rather heavy.

Fine morning. Fritz shells our direction again with HV Gun.
Nov 27 CAMP Nr TILLOY
Wet morning & strong wind. Coys are not able to go out. We get sudden orders about 2.10pm to move into the line again to relieve East Lancs, not at all a good order. Coys move up at 5.15pm.
Nov 26 CAMP Nr TILLOY
Bttn cleans up. We find a working party of 32 in afternoon. Fine day very cold & strong wind. Sg PITT returns from leave.
