Fine day. Coys do training as usual. In the afternoon we go & watch the HB team play 2^nd Seaforths the latter win 2-1 very poor game. We spend some time in Sea Mess get home about 8.0pm. Gas test 12.0 noon.

Fine day. Coys do training as usual. We have a shoot in the afternoon. Hd Qrs versus A Coy & we just manage to win by 3 points. Hd Qrs 269 A Coy 266. I score 66. Col gives us 30 frs. B play C in Regt Tourney. B winning after extra time 1-0

Lena’s birthday

Fine day, nothing doing only inspections etc by Coys. We have a tea party in the afternoon to keep up my birthday, very pleasant time indeed, then spend the evening quietly at cards. Lena’s birthday & she has a good time too.

Fine morning we get our clothes dry & clean up. Inspection of billets etc by C.O. Quiet at night. Good sleep. Chaplain left us at 2.0pm. Drums play Auld Lang Syne. New Chaplain arrives Rev.J R CROFT.
