Lovely day. Go to Church in the morning & then go for a walk to Cronfestu in the afternoon. Very nice indeed, return about 7.0 pm. Quite a nice afternoon out.  I see the glass works at Cronfestu.

Fine day, very quiet no inspections, have a sleep in the afternoon, go for a stroll at night, very nice time.

Showery day, not much doing no men so have a quiet time. Vauxhall at night.

Miserable morning. I start work again but don’t do a lot, just get around very quiet. Decent night.

Fine morning. I go out again & take over ready for tomorrow. Go to La Louviere in the afternoon, have two nice bottles of Burgoyne at Madame Falise.

Fine morning some rain later. I go for a walk but don’t start work.

Fine day, go by tram to La Louviere & see the Opera Manon, very nice, but had a bad seat. Singing lovely, return about 7.30 pm.

Fine morning, I get up & have a bit of a stroll round. Feel alright only a bit tired. Brig Gen CDH Moore comes to see me in the afternoon, we have a nice chat together.

Fine day but cold. I go out in the garden for a bit & feel alright but feel rotten in the afternoon & evening.
