Fine morning. Good nights sleep. Church parade 10.0 am. Mr.  COCKING visits me in afternoon with SM of his 13^th have tea and pleasant evening. Fine night.

Arrive Bougemaison about 11.0 am and have to get out. Smash up on line. Get a lorry to NUNEQ then get another one to St.POL where I expect to find Div HQ but they have moved. Find out that BHQ [Brigade HQ] are at OURFON so get a lorry to there arriving about 5.30 pm. Find where Bttn is and arrive about 6.15 pm. Have a good feed. See H. TAYLOR & MANTON both look well.

Snow in morning. Visit Station. Train leaves at 2.45. Meet M & B 12.30 pm. Have dinner. They come to Stn to see me off, train leaves about 3.50 pm. I get in Guards Van nice and warm. Not a bad ride, but can’t lay down.

Fine morning. Get up about 10.0 am visit station for train, perhaps leave tomorrow. Meet M & B at 12.30 pm. Have dinner. Visit Camp in afternoon & get my movement order. See O’DELL, J. Fine morning, some snow storms. Get up about 11.0am meet M & B at 12.30 pm. Have dinner, visit Cathedral in the afternoon, also Bon- Service, very nice afternoon get back about 6.0 pm. Nice evening with M & B. Sleep at Hotel C d F. Good night.

Get up about 10.0 am. Have a walk round & meet MOON at 12.30. Dinner out, poor afternoon no company. See MERRY at night & spend a pleasant evening, have a good bed at the Hotel Chemin de Fer! Good sleep. Snow at night. Saw Red Rocket.

Got up about 10.0 am, nice morning, wash & clean up, visit 3^rd Echelon till 12.30 pm. Have dinner at Café Heutres, very good. Walk round with C. MOON in afternoon & have a good look round the town. Visit * at night, nothing doing, get to 3^rd Ech mess about 9.10 pm. Turn in about 12.0 am. Good day.

Arrive ROUEN about 1.0 pm Sunday & march to No 5 Gen Can Base Depot & hand over party. Good dinner, very much enjoyed. See GIBSON clean up & go out, meet BENNETT, MOON, ASHBOURNE, DOWNING & LANGSTON. Have a good night & then in about 12.30.
