Fine day again. A Boshe [Bosch] plane brought down early morning. I have 2 shoots out of my revolver & score each time very well. Fritz still busy back area. No good news from the South. Fairly quiet night. Good sleep. We send our first 2 men on leave.

Friday 31 May ALLOUAGNE
Fine day again, and very warm. Fritz still very busy on back areas, & does a good bit of damage in the chinks [Chinese] camp & among our ASC. Fine night. I see Bert again & we have a nice evening together. I put 3 lots on the heart & win each time.
Thursday 30 May ALLOUAGNE
Fine day again. I go off to Busnettes in the afternoon, & nearly stop one. A shall hits D Coy Hd Qrs killing 1 & wounding several others, Hubbard among the latter. Fritz active again at night, but not near us. Follies give a concert to Bttn at 5.30 pm very good.
Wednesday 29 May ALLOUAGNE
Fine day again & very hot. Nothing much doing all day except the usual gunning. Fritz comes over at night & drops a very heavy bomb quite close to our billet, no casualties, except a goat, which some of our men had got for a pet.
Tuesday 28 May ALLOUAGNE
Fine day. Fritz very active with aircraft & back area shelling. I go up to Bttn in the morning & have a talk to the Col [Colonel] who wants me to stay here, which I intend to do if possible, for a short time. Have a rotten time at night as Fritz gets busy on Labouverie & Le PUGNOY
Monday 27 May ALLOUAGNE
Fine day. We get orders for Bttn tonight. I get a letter from Lt. Col Lacon, very nice letter. Bert leaves this sector & goes to Gosuay, rotten luck as we were very good pals. I see Major Forbes at night plenty of swank on Hd Qrs 46th Div. Bttn arrive Busnettes at 2.0 am 28th.
Sunday 26 May ALLOUAGNE
Fine morning, nice breeze blowing & not too warm. I go for a stroll in the afternoon to Labouverie, very nice walk. Get back in the evening, have a quiet drink with Bert & turn in.
Saturday 25 May ALLOUAGNE
Fine morning but cloudy. Fairly quiet all day, not much doing.
Friday 24 May ALLOUAGNE
Wet day & cold, what a change from the preceeding days, It rains most of the day & is very miserable. Finer at night but still very dull & none too warm.
Thursday 23 May ALLOUAGNE
Another lovely day, but very strong wind. What a pity to be out here. Fairly quiet, aeroplanes have had wind to contend with but still carry on. Bert comes in the evening & has supper with me, very pleasant time.
