Fine morning, get orders to move at 10.30 am cancelled for 4 hours. Move at 2.30 pm very hot. Bttn goes by Lorry, we trek it. March to Burbuce, west of  Lillers & arrive at 5.20 am 13th inst, very tired & worn out, snatch an hours sleep & then move into a field for our billet.

Dull morning we move again Bttn going into Huts, HdQrs & Stores in tents. Nice afternoon & evening. Get nice & comfortable but get ready to move again at 10.30 pm. Get packed up etc but dont move, only stand by. Very little sleep.

Misty morning & dull day.

Fritz shells round about us & we get orders to move to camp near Agnez Douisans. Move at 1.0 pm & pitch camp get finished about 10.0 pm. Fair sleep.

Maj Willis goes away.

Finer in the morning but not too good. Get shelled about 4.0 pm & intermittently throughout the night, no sleep. No casualties. Col Lacon goes away.

Wet & miserable all day. Move to Hangars by Y Huts in afternoon, get poor accomd [accommodation] Bttn comes out about 10.30 pm. We settle in about midnight. Very misty & miserable.

Showery & dull nearly all day. Lt Col Lacon comes down from the line & Lt Col Marriott takes over command. We hear rumours of a move.

Wet morning fine later. I go up & visit Bttn who are pretty well done up. Get back about 6.30 pm.

Wet again, place just like a quagmire. Bttn comes back into Blangy park.

Wet in morning, fine later. I visit Ordnance again & square up.

Cloudy & showers. I visit Ordnance in the afternoon.
